Let it rip!

It’s all about distress this season. Literally. You love denim but this season with the mercury dropping, you’re not too sure. Here’s an idea. Try a little peek here and a little display there, works well! Here’s a style tip – try pairing your favorite distressed denims with my choice of the month: frayed crop tops.

When I was a kid, I always spared some extra time at the beginning of every summer to rip out my jeans-of-the-season. Frayed edges, fringes, distressed denim, and torn-at-places were trendy then, as they are now.

So, here are my most loved ‘ripped’ looks for the season.

1. Distressed denim dungaree dress with crop top
   This is definitely the Look-of-the-Year as defined by me! I love dungaree dresses… and pastel denim ones are quickly becoming a rage. Pair it with a cute white crop top and sneakers, and you’re good to go!
2. Off-shoulder, frayed hem crop top with skinny jeans
   Off-shoulder crop tops have a way of merging the ‘classic chic’ and the ‘girl next door’ looks perfectly. Pair the top with skinny, ankle-length denims – contrasting with the top. Wear these with outdoorsy sandals, stilettoes or sneakers, and you’ll look lit AF!
3. Distressed crop top with a short denim skirt
   Short skirts are bae! Pair your fav denim skirt with a ripped crop top for the summer party look. Carry a sling and pair the look with floral wedges!
4. The classic white crop top with pink distressed shorts
   Pink denim is literally on every blog I’ve read and blogger I’ve seen this summer. Buy a cute pair of pink distressed shorts and pair them with literally anything. I can’t get over this!
5. Leather bralette with fringes with black denim shorts
   Faux leather with fringes? Now that’s the kind of look I can die for… Pair your fav leather croppie with black denim shorts for the super sexy, always ready-to-party look!
6. The boyfriend fit jeans with sports bra and distressed tank top
   This is my go-to look for coffee dates, movies, going to the mall or just chilling with my friends around town! Boyfriend-fit jeans are super-comfy as well as sexy! And with a sports bra peeking out from you distressed tank? – you’ll slay this look gurl!
7. And when in doubt – merge the TWO
   The two ‘commandments’ of the season – distressed denim + crop tops can come together for the cutest look of all! Choose a frayed denim crop top to pair with skirts, shorts, trousers and jackets.
